Having descended from the lineage of Antarctic explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton, travel and exploration are in Andrew Hayward Smith’s genes. Born and raised in the small northern town of Nantwich, England, Andrew emigrated to Miami, Florida in 1990. In September 2016, Andrew moved to Minneapolis.
Andrew’s professional career has been focused on advertising and marketing of luxury goods and services. He has worked for pre-eminent advertising firms in London and Miami including: D. Gosden & Co Ltd (the oldest ad agency in England and the only specialists in classical music advertising), Crispin, Porter + Bogusky, and Pinkhaus. Clients and campaigns have included: the Royal Albert Hall, the Royal Festival Hall, the Barbican Center, the Royal Opera House, Julian Lloyd-Weber, Mercedes-Benz, Bacardi, Virgin Atlantic Airways, Trump Ocean Club, Trump Hollywood, Marquis Residences, Privé at Island Estates, Marina Palms Yacht Club & Residences, Fortune International, Molson Beer, Mini Cooper, Kempinski Hotels, and The Helen Hayes Theatre on Broadway.
From 1996 to 2013 he produced and hosted a weekly, hour-long volunteer radio program (Esquire magazine) for the print impaired on WLRN’s Radio Reading Service.
Andrew graduated in 2018 with a Master of Divinity from Underground Seminary in Minneapolis.
